Re: Weight Loss Journey Began 2/28/09

Day 9 today! Clean eating. Plenty of water. Still with pink/purple ketostix. Exercised yesterday. Walked for one hour and did yard work for two hours. Very sore today, so skipping any exercise today. Will go to the gym tomorrow night.

Wondering how Laura is doing? I have a crazy week coming up. Tons of interviews, school from 4-9:30pm after working all day on Tuesday. I still need to do my math homework. It's probability and odds. Tough stuff for me.

Lost 10 pound on my first week. Will recheck my weight Saturday, March 14th.

      Laura,

Honestly I haven't had any cravings. I have been a bit bored and have been looking at a few low carb recipes. I've cut them out and will put them in a book this week. Next weekend, I'm going to try a few of them. If I like them, I'll share them with you.

Me too. Beef and chicken Kabobs with roasted peppers (red and yellow), and onions. Been eating alor of sauted mushrooms, some string cheese and some salad. I've been eating alot of cucumbers also.

I had a birthday party to go to today. I made myself a plate at home and took it with me to the party. While the others had cake and ice cream, I ate two string cheeses.

Glad things are going well for you. Try to get all your water in and if you can, exercise maybe one or two days the first week. Even a half hour stroll is better than none. I'm determined to lose 50 lbs total by September 1st. I think I can do it and I know you can too.

Day 11 of induction Today - March 10

Have had 10 clean days of eating. Took Sunday off from exercise. Went to the gym yesterday and did the ellyptical trainer for 35 minutes. I was ready to get off after 10 minutes but stuck it out. Plenty of water. Ketostix still pink/purple.
Upped veggies today. Cut up cucumbers and red/yellow peppers. One portobella mushroom with sausage and povolone cheese topping. Yes, I ate more than this but this is my highlight of day 10.

Wish me luck on day 11.

Hi Tracy, you can send private messages two ways. Click on the persons name in the top left and choose either Send a Private Message or View Public Profile. Both places you can talk to them direct. I weight 10 pounds more than you, and hope to lose about the same. Try it on my name.

            Day 12 Today - March 11

Another great day yesterday. Today, I may sign up for the personal trainer boot camp at our hospital. He comes every Wednesday.

Yesterday, I ate well. I did slip one teaspoon in at bedtime. I hope I haven't blown it. Otherwise, 2 eggs/bacon --chicken with povolone cheese, red/yellow peppers, cucumbers ranch dressing at lunch -- Turkey and red/yellow peppers, cucumbers ranch dressing for dinner -- snack two string cheese -- 1 tsp peanut butter.

All my water. Two cups coffee. Two diet cokes/one of the two with no caffiene.

Would someone evaluate my food selection? Am I still selecting right?

Check my food on fit day! and still okay. I hate to fall into the trap of becoming obsessed with checking food counts. Ugghh.
22 carbs. I guess I'm still okay. 20...22 same right?

                Hi Tracey,
It has been a week since I checked in. I had avery busy week with work and a very sick little boy. He is finally feeling better and this week will not be as busy at work as the last. Anyways...how are you making out? Im still sticking with it. I weighed myself this morning. I am down 9 pounds. Its not a lot, but a start anyways.

That is alot! Congratulations. Keep on keepin on. I'm doing good too. Made some pumpkin bars the low carb way this weekend. Excellent. I also made some ice cream, low carb.

Still exercising and still in ketosis! I won't weigh again till Saturday morning.

1 14 oz can pure pumpkin
                      1 1/2 cups almond flour
                      4 eggs
                      1 tsp cinnamon
                      1 tsp baking soda
                      1 tsp salt
                      1/2 cup oil
                      1 1/2 c. powdered splenda
1/2 tsp sugar free maple syrup

Mix eggs and splenda well. Add oil and mix well. Add remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 11 x 17 cookie sheet. Bake 350 for 20 minutes. Let cool. I put about 3 to a ziplock baggie and froze them. I take one out a day. Enjoy. They are delicious and about 3 carbs a piece.
