Hi,
This is my third week on Atkins, I am doing extended induction...but since I have been eating Atkin's bars and I cheated with a little caffeine I am not technically doing induction. Just thought I'd come clean. Anyway, I am loving it; it works for me. I lost 7 pounds in the first two weeks, as I said eating bars and also almonds, but otherwise low carbing--sticking close to 20 grams. I also have had low carb beer.
I have not begun an exercise program yet, but I believe I will start walking today, and I will also begin to stick to induction more vigilantly. The weight-loss has made me feel so good. Also, the diet seems to give me more energy, and I'm not so food obsessed. I weigh myself everyday because I have needed to know that I am progressing, but the up and down can be depressing. This third week I have only seen rising numbers so I have decided not to weigh again until Friday, and implement the aforementioned changes so as not to gain back or fall behind.
I am 36 years old, working mom of three. I have a total of 70 pound to loose. My goal is to be at 150 by New Year's Eve! It's ambitious, I know and I realize that I have to work harder to make it. I may go for 5 or ten more after that. My ketones are purple and I have lost inches; feeling really great but afraid of stalling.
Good luck to everyone, This forum is great.
Please give me your tips, warning or advice if you have anything specific to share. For instance, is upping fat intake a good idea for everyone?

Thanks.
