  • Well Helllllooooo

    Hi all,

Its great to have found this site, I am really looking forward to becoming an avid member.

I am currently on day three of the induction stage and I'm feeling really positive. The only bug bare is I seem to be having are few little niggeling headaches. I'm drinking plenty of water and herbal teas, so should be well hydrated, so any tips welcomed.

My first task is to work out how you all have the weight ruler/scale thingey under your signature, I want one of these.

So here's to my new addiction, surfing the ADBB

    Welcome to ADBB dumpster.
Sounds like you have hit the induction flu. It will pass quickly. Take an advil or something if it get worse.

I assume you are talking about the ticker. You can create one here using the tab Tickers.
Once you have done that you copy the BB code into your signature
(you can find your signature when looking under your User Control Panel (User CP) on the blue tab area.

          Welcome to the Atkins Board.

Make sure you drink a minimum of 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added) - the herbal teas don't count toward your water intake daily, only pure water counts. Also, exercise starting today and take a multi-vitamin.

You'll find wonderful recipes here: just make sure you use Induction Recipes to begin with. Vary your meals so you don't get tired of eating the same thing over and over -- we have too many choices for that to happen.

I'm on day 4 now and it all seems a little to easy at the moment....my one weakness is chocolate so I have been looking at the Food forum for some tips in the desert section. I think I will be trying the cheese cake recipes as soon as I can

Thanks for your advice, will keep on drinking the water, had no idea the herbal teas did'nt count. Shame because I can drink Camomile tea till it comes out of my ears.

I've started using the Wii Fit, great for me as I hate going to the gym and it tracks your progress and I keep a record of my weight on it to.

I'm so new to all of this I will definately have a look at your links and I'm very curious about Fitday, will be having a look at that as well when I have the time. I'm enjoying nosing around the forums at the moment. I knew this would get addicted, I'm hoping that I'll be on here most nights keeping myself occupied, and keeping and naughty cravings at bay

Hi Kazzer. Addiction here is a GOOD thing. I am also pleasantly addicted to fitday. SOme folks prefer sparkpeople.com to fitday so you might ant to check them both out and see which one is better for you personally. They both have some great attributes and get easier as you use them.
