I check everything I eat against the acceptable food list -- the book says if it's not on the list don't eat it - so that's why I go by. Many people eat things that aren't on the list and seem to have no problems, but I go by the book. What you should be looking at is not just the carb count, look at the ingredients - if you don't find ingredients listed on something don't buy it. Also, make sur eyou know what a serving size is -- manufacturers like to fool us into eating or drinking more....one examples is soda - each can is listed as 2 servings....same with soup - always more than 1 serving in a container.
I constantly check ingredients, serving size, and enter them into my FitDay account to see where I am during the day. To find out what was in A1 Steak Sauce I went to google and typed in "ingredients A1 Steak Sauce" and found out.
