So you have a sweeth tooth - using foods as reward? Yes. I know the feeling and pattern. Time to break it, honey. It will just lead to more pounds...
So hopefully you can have a good breakfast - it is a key. Eat plenty of legal stuff the first days and do not worry about amounts - just fill 'er up.
Thanks Liv, I appreciate the B minus! Yes, rewarding w/ food is another mindset to overcome--it's how my mama raised me, so I've been thinking that way a looong, looong time. And thanks for the encouragement on the amounts. I always feel so less-than-dainty when I eat. But I get hungry!

      >>a piece of ham which is not on the list, is it?>>

      Yes, it is.

My advice is to print out a copy of the Induction food list (you have the link) and put one on the refrigerator and one in your purse.

      >>coleslaw>>

Most homemade or commercial coleslaw is full of sugar.

      >>then, becuase I had resisted so much tempation, passing up the dressing and turkey tetrazinni and all the other yummy, rich foods, I had two tablespoons of pistachio pudding and marshmallow salad>>

      You reward yourself with junk?

And how do you know they were "yummy"?

      >> This is not the easiest time of year to start this>>

No time is "easy" ... there's landmines every month/week/day of the year.

      >> I'm setting aside some time tomorrow to re-read the book, cover to cover.>>

      Sounds good!
