  • Two Weeks In

    I am two weeks into the Atkins diet/lifestyle. I have lost close to 7 lbs this far. Looking forward to make friends here, and to keep supporting each other. I'm 6.5, and 328lbs. Aiming for 250, and hope to be there before years end.

    I'm fairly active, training Krav Maga, twice a week, and on the treadmill the other days.

      started 27/10/2009 at 252lbs goal weight 190 lbs

      im 28 6ft 2"

      weight loss so far 79 lbs yeehaa

      im now in the 50 club

      current weight 173 lbs

        Hi,
        yes I have read that book, and other, similar ones. I was on the Atkins Diet about seven years ago, but back then, I did not make it into a lifestyle, which for many is essential to succeed on it.

        I used to work in Law Enforcement, but not anymore. I work for a Federal Contractor in Northern VA. Krav Maga is a great workout. It's a full hour with great cardio training. I started with Krav about six months ago, but I realized that I needed to work on my "eating lifestyle too," so I decided to get back on track, in other words, "The Whole Body, Whole Mind," thing.

        So far, so good.

          Hello and welcome.Glad you understand that the diet works if you make it a lifestyle not use it for a quick fix.I hope you reach your goal this year and all the best.

            Thanks for all the kind words, and encouragements. I realized, like so many that it can't be a "quick fix," at least not, when you have plenty of those, "fat genes," it has to be a lifestyle change. I am off to a good start, and my six year old daughter is a motivator, maybe the best one.

                I did atkins like 3 yrs ago and lost 58 lbs
                Now i'm back! I would love to support each other.
