Body takes glucose only in case fat is not there right( coz teh order in which it takes is fat, ketones, glucose. So glucose is taken only if no fat is there right. ) My body has lot of stored fat . Since lot of stored fat is there, it should take that instead of glucose right? Sorry for bothering. Its unclear

If that was right you could just go ahead and eat carbs.

        no

there are body parts like red blood cells that do not have the body fat burning part so they must use glucose no matter how much fat is present.

if insulin is present the cells will suck all the glucose they need from the blood stream regardless of how much fat is present

so what you want to do is cause the blood glucose levels to stay normal and not spike. Spiking will cause insulin release.

the human body will make glucose from excess protein because it has to process it once it is ingested regardless of how much fat is present

so if you are going to do atkins you need to eat high fat, moderate protein and low carbs in an amount less then your total energy expenditure to burn excess the body fat to make up the difference.

You are a bit hung up in fat.
Fat is good. Fat is your friend.
It is carbs we worry about and reduce. Carbs get our bloodsugars going and make us store energy as fat. Fat we consume does not.
How tall are you What gender How much do you currently weigh What is your activity level = those are answers we need before we can suggest any amounts.

I never worry about fat = and I eat tons. I worry about carbs and sometimes about protein.

              Hi Liv,
I am a Female 5 2" current weight 130. Activity level :0 .Planning to start something simple like walking. I am scared if I will take too much protein instaed of fat when I start the diet. Can you plz tell me how much gms of need do i need to take?

Does any extra fat we eat which is more than required for the body not stored as fat? What happens to that. I got ur point that carbs we should worry about. I was wondering by mistake if I eat more fat than reqd what happens to me. Also let me know protein limit. I like chicken a lot and might end up eating lot of protein. Plz tell me limits.

You need to read the book sweetie. It will help answer your questions. You can find it quite cheap used many places. We use the 2002 edition on this forum.

You need to reduce carbs and then let your appetite be your guide. When you start open a FitDay - Free Weight Loss and Diet Journal account to count things and make sure your fat percentage is around 65 (protein should be around 30, carbs around 5). Nothing wrong with chicken but you may want to add fat in the form of butter or something.
And you should start exercising. It is part of the programme.
                Good luck.
