Re: 30g & under induction
We all do, but there are different kinds of "tailoring".
One can tailor one's diet by eating some vegetables and not others. Or choosing not to eat pork... or beef... or eggs.
In OWL, one will "tailor" the diet by eating only foods one can tolerate and in the amounts one can tolerate.
All these adaptations are within the guidelines of DANDR.
But if you are doing Induction, which is what you wrote you're doing, and eat 25 net carbs on average, that's not Induction anymore.
You're also not following Induction correctly if you're undereating your net carbs from vegetables or overeating cheese.
If you're asking whether there's people on the board who don't follow Atkins correctly... I'm sure there's plenty! But don't expect us to encourage that. If one posts something about one's diet that's not "by the book", it will be pointed out.
Then start in OWL. Nothing wrong with that.
However, even in OWL, most of your net carbs should come from vegetables.
Many low carb diets apply the principles of Atkins... yet, they are not Atkins.
I see no one else tailors their diet except me on this board?

I am not overweight or obese so I don't think strict induction is what I need.

Applying Atkins principles is what I am doing.
