    And?

Don't get me wrong ... I use it myself on rare occasions ... but I don't kid myself that it's a "fine" thing to use!

    Nuts aren't gone forever!

As to the many names of sugar:

Sugar on Ingredient Labels - Different Words that Mean Sugar
Thanks for the link. I know -ose is sugar. That's obvious to me. The packet is downstairs and because the chops tasted so good, it has to have hidden sugars. That's the way it usually is, isn't it? lol

What I've learned: read the ingredients carefully to rule out sugars. Today is day 1 and it is better to know now. Thank you.

I will wait on the nuts. No problem. This will be a lifestyle not just an interim diet to lose 140 pounds, maintain it for a year and find myself where I am today. I'm worth the sacrifices and willing to make them. It's past time I do.

I like to have fun and this will be no exception. Thanks for the input you've provided.

They're not hidden! It's right there in the list of ingredients ... if memory serves, the first ingredient is maltodextrin.

      You're welcome for the help!

What I meant by "hidden" is sugar under another name. I'm on the 'hidden valley ranch' pun. Disguised? More appropriate choice?

        Be well. Thanks. I'm knackered.

Well, there are hidden carbs ... when the math doesn't work. That's how I interpreted what you meant by hidden sugars.

          Have a good night!

I thought you guys must be buying a different kind than we have here. But I see it's the same, sugar is first which means it's the more sugar than anything else. Guess I'll continue to skip it for now. Darn LOL

I really think it is best to wait and get more sure of your control but I don't thing it is wrong to eat them (according to the book).

String beans are great. Good to hear that you are eating your veggies. Hope to see more of your posts.
I've seen Georgiana tell people it's ok to add nuts on extended induction - I hadn't seen it in the book so I wondered about it. The way I see it if you are going to stay on extended induction you should still be following induction rules....if you want nuts or anything else you should move to OWL and add them in order of their Rung...just my opinion for what little it means.
