Hi I have been doing the induction for 6 weeks. I went to the doctor and gained 3 pounds. I feel like crying can anyone give me some advice. I showed them my diet and they say I'm doing great and even suggested protein drink with zero carbs twice a day... help!

With only 15 pounds to lose, that's too long to be doing doing Induction!

Yes the scale was the same, I'm taking b12 in the afternoon for energy..
sample menu: calories total for the day about 1500
2 eggs for breakfast sprinkle of cheese
2 pieces turkey bacon
palm size serving pork skin for snack
2 egg whites for lunch sprinkle of chs
cabbage
double cheesburger no bun or condiments for dinner... usually I do the whole egg, but my students were cooking so i used just the whites for lunch today.. the drink is made with whey.. states zero carbs...
I am in ketosis for 2 weeks according to the sticks.

add some unsalted butter and low carb vegetables to your diet and some cod liver oil be nice too
also that burger you ate was it home made or from a resturant? resturants are known for adding nightmareish things to all there food so if possible never eat out
and also you only have 15 pounds to lose with such little to lose you could have very well gained muscle and lost fat and gained a little water weight for the day which would easily show up 2 pounds but thats why you should measure yourself and if you lost inches they show alot better results than a weight scale

Thank you, I will try anything 25lbs is difficult to lose with a broken back! This seems to be my only hope. My excercise is limited. I need to eat more fat? I'm not sure what to add? I have not lost any inches... I guess I'm stumped.. I never had any great weight loss like my girlfriends around me... I will stick to it!!

More fat, way more of the allowed veggies and make sure you are drinking a MINIMUM of 64 ounces of water a day.

Are there any high fat suggestions for me. I guess the general egg, meat, fish, I'm not choosing properly. Today I brought a bag of pork skins in (bbq) to snack on... Gosh, you guys are great. I wish I had joined from the begining!!!

How much do you weigh right now? How low are you trying to go?
Egg whites are a waste - you need the yolk and some butter with it. Your lunch sounded like starvation foods to me.
What drink with whey are you referring to? Whey is very lean. You need to add some fat to it to make it Atkins. And only the isolate is induction friendly.
Use oil, butter, real bacon, egg yolks, avocado, olives for fat sources. You need around 65% of your calories from fat.
And eat more vegetables. Lots more. You need nutrients to lose weight.
Atkins is about feeding the body good stuff.

They're probably not your best choice. Generally the flavored ones have sugar added.
The lesson here is that you need to read the list of ingredients of EVERYTHING!
Also ... these don't really have much nutrition.
What vegetables are you eating?
If you want some good fat, try an avocado.J.

I'm presently at 165 and want to go to 135 ideal weight, but comfortable at 140. I guess that is my first goal. I guess I wan't doing this quite right ... is there a place I could look at sample induction plans for the day? You are right the protein drink is less than 1 gram of fat... up the fat!! I think I've got it!
