I think you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Losing 48 lbs in 4-5 months means over 2 lbs per week, every week... keeping in mind that in Pre-Maintenance (at least 2-3 months) you will be slowing your weight loss down to less than a pound per week.

That being said, if you follow Atkins correctly, you will be smaller by July.

What went wrong in your previous attempts to Atkins?

Re: Determined to MAKE MY GOAL!

Yep I agree it's fine to set high goals but have realistic expectations and know you probably won't make them or you will be disappointed and blow your whole plan.

Remember this is for life so in the end it doesn't matter if you get there in 4 months or not, you'll get there. Good luck

Re: Determined to MAKE MY GOAL!

              Welcome!

Plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/menus.html. The closer you follow the plan the better your results will be.

Exercise, take a non-iron multivitamin and drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water (nothing added), daily. If you need anything we try to help each other here as much as possible.
