  • Hi from Chitown! :)

    Hi, my (nick)name is Chip.

I've lost about 100 lbs from my highest weight mostly through portion control and exercise. I have lingered at that weight for the past 4 years or so and now I need some help with these last 50 and finally feel determined and motivated to get them off. I mean, why stop at 2/3 of my goal?!

I started Induction on Monday and so far (only day 2), I am feeling pretty good. Definitely experiencing some "fog" and light-headedness, but drinking tons of water, enjoying my veggies and feeling more in control of my body than I have in awhile.

I'm so glad I discovered this board and am looking forward to your thoughts , advice, support and motivation and contributing as well.

If I had to choose, I'd say I'm more of a Cubs south-sider (originally from the South burbs but WGN always showed the Cubs games on TV), but my brother works in MLB so I'm a Cleveland Indians fan by default.

Currently a South Loop-er and all about the Chicago Bears!! Woot. BEAR DOWN!!

Nice to see another Chicagoan! Who's your team?

Yeah, Guess I am a Cubs South-Sider, too. Dad always watched the Cubs on the TV.

I grew up in the Midway vicinity, am now a far western Burb Gal.

Got it, thanks for the signature tip mission_to_lose and thanks for the welcome atkinsgal.

Yes, this IS the year!! To be a Chicago sports fan, whether it's football, baseball, basketball or hockey, you sort of have to be an eternal optimist! Good thing I've got plenty of that.
