Day 5, and so far the hardest part for me has been caffiene. I was about a pot a day drinker and usually had an energy drink on the way to work. I admit, my wife snuck me a cup of leaded coffee when I woke up with a raging headache. I know it is not allowed, but I was tricked! I forgot my lunch again. I was so used to going and buying 2 double cheeseburgers and a bunch of fries everyday. I am lucky I brought a dozen hard boiled eggs to work last week. I had 3 for lunch. I am going to buy some celery today. I'm gonna start bringing some to work with me. I am looking forward to OWL so I can put a little cream cheese on them. So far I am down 6 lbs, and hopefully will continue to lose at this pace during induction.

Re: Day 5
Not everyone give us their caffeine.
And ... it's always best to withdraw from caffeine slowly.

Why wait until then? Cream cheese is legal on Induction.

Re: Day 5
you can still have the double cheese burger.. just leave off the ketchup and bread.. although your home food choices are probably better... but in a crunch.. if everybody else is eating out.. and it's fast food.. I get like a wendy's double stack.. no ketchup... and eat it without the bun and feel no shame!!2-15-10 194.8 - highest ever!

Hardees has a low carb thick burger. I might give that a shot. I just looked it up, it has 2 net carbs!

It is wrapped in lettuce and has a slice of tomato and cheese.Originally posted by atkinsgal08 View Post>>I just looked it up, it has 2 net carbs!>>
As you know, there's more than just looking at the net carbs.
First question I have is, why does a plain burger have 2 net carbs?

Re: Day 5
Hmmm ... looking at the list of ingredients:
Beef Patty, 1/3 lb (pre-cook weight)
Black Angus Beef, Salt with Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and
Cottonseed Oil, Sodium Phosphates, Spice.
Beef Patty, Little Thickburger
Beef, salt, partially hydrogenated soybean and cottonseed oil, sodium
phosphates, spices.
Beef patty, Six Dollar (pre-cook weight)
Black Angus Beef, Salt with Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and
Cottonseed Oil, Sodium Phosphates, Spice.
I'd get:
Beef patty, 8:1 (pre-cook weight)
100% Pure Ground Beef Patty.J.
