    If you count your carbs, then you won't be making any "wrong" assumptions, you'll know exactly what you're eating.

    Going too low on the carb totals can easily backfire ...

      It takes practice eating veggies, since we as a whole before starting this woe did not eat a lot of veggies before.

      I too still have that problem getting enough in. You should focus your eating around the veggies and not the protein so you can get the hang of it.

          maybe I need to add a couple of protein rich snacks - like 50 g of beef or an oz of cheese
          Just keep in mind that Atkins is a high fat diet, not high protein.

            Ok, took all that advice and ended up with today's totals: calories - 1834, net carbs - 17.3, fat - 114.7, protien - 165.0. Feeling pretty good about the foood and the way I'm feeling BUT see new topics for a rant.

                        ???? Yes, just about 80. I've had two glasses since I finished the 8. I always have water when I'm writing.

                            Your numbers looked good. Just to be sure, how many gross carbs did you get from your veggies?

                            As for the water, I would count to 100 oz though not just to 64 oz. I know it seems like a lot but during induction, but it's not.

                                No disrespect Georgiana, but I have found that when I count gross veggie carbs I get a great amount of veggies in my diet and I am not lacking. Plus fitday does not give youa net amount which is a flaw in their system.
