    HI MY NAME IS BROWNEYES...I JUST STARTED THE ATKINS BUT FELL OFF THE WAGON AND FEEL SOOOO HORRIBLE!! SO I DECIDED TO JOIN...I DO NEED SOME ADVICE ON THE FIRST 14 DAYS I REALLY DONT UNDERSTAND EXACTLY WHAT TO EAT OR NOT EAT....I HAVE DONE ATKINS BEFORE AND LOST 40 LBS BUT JUST HAD A BABY AGAIN AND THIS TIME AROUND ITS SOOOOOO HARD...THE FIRST TIME I DID IT I KNO I DID IT WRONG SO I NEED AS MUCH ADVICE AS POSSIBLE...

    Are you reading the book, Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution (2002)?

      Sorry i didnt know it was hard to read until i tried to read it myself then realized its hard lol....anyways your links were very very helpful thank you...so how long have you been on atkins and how much have you lost??

        Welcome Browneyes!
        You did well last time you low carbed, so I'm sure you'll do well this time around too. Even better if you follow the plan to the letter! We're all happy to help and this place is great for inspiration and tips.
        Remember to drink lots and lots of water (verrrrrrry important), to add some exercise and to take an iron free multivit.

          Welcome --

          The best advise I can give is to plan your meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

          Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily – more is better but at least 64 ounces. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise.

          The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. If you can't find a copy locally www.half.com or www.amazon.com have inexpensive copies (mine were both under $5.00 with shipping) - look in the used book section. Just make sure you are getting the 2002 edition.

            Welcome.Follow the 2002 version of the DANDR and drink plenty of pure water and do some daily exercise thats the best advice I can give you.
