    Hi Humble!

What works best for me is to plan meals for a few days so you have everything legal in your home. Linda's recipe site is very helpful with delicious recipes - it will help keep you from eating the same thing over and over -- http://www.genaw.com/lowcarb/. Your weight loss may be more or less than others so don't worry about how much someone else lost, follow the plan the way it's written and you'll have the best results for your body.

Drink a minimum 64 ounces of pure water daily – more is better but at least 64 ounces. Take a vitamin w/o iron daily and exercise.

The 2002 Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution (DANDR) is our guideline here on the board - if you don't have a copy you really should get one and read it so you know the science behind the plan and how to follow it correctly. Eat foods listed on the acceptable food list
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.com/forums/atkins-low-carb-dieting-faqs/6781-what-foods-can-eaten-induction.html - eating a variety of foods and vegetables and count all “net carbs” (carb minus fiber equal net carbs). You can have cream in your coffee in the morning - just watch your totals and look up how much you can have on the acceptable food list.

The first few days are the hardest but drink enough water, eat until you are full and if you are still hungry eat a protein/fat snack inbetween meals, it will help keep you satisfied and full

. If you need anything we’re here to help you!! If you haven't started a journal yet it's a good way to get your thoughts and feelings out and meet people who will become great friends along your journey! Good luck.
    Carole

The equivalent of heavy cream in the UK is double cream. You need to keep it in the fridge.
