Hi all! I started Atkins around four weeks ago (from their web-site) for the second time. The first time, a few months back, I wasn't in the right head space, and while I did all the "Courses" available, it didn't stick in my head for some reason. This time around, I am finding it SO easy! Okay, I have had vodka and Club Soda on Friday and Saturday nights... but they have NO carbs, and seem to not effect it. I read somewhere that one of the main reasons for no alcohol, even no carb alcohol, was because of the loss of self control.. IE: EATING when you are drinking. See?! That's the kicker. Hubby 'sabotages' me almost from day one on low-fat/low-calorie diets, because HE losses his self control and makes up Salmon Lox, or Buffalo wings during a movie ...and then bacon and eggs for breakfast. I can now enjoy these little sabotages (using cucumber instead of crackers for the lox, of course...)
So anyways, I started Atkins on April 6th or 7th at 170 lbs... and am now (as of April 29th, my official weigh-in day) am 161.4 lbs. Not bad for a little over 4 weeks... The best in years, in fact! ...AND I'm doing great! I haven't craved bread, rice or potatoes (rice is one of my biggest down-falls! in fact, I made sushi the other day, with cauli-rice! It was JUST THE SAME! Got the idea from here! THANKS!) I seem to have tons of energy, AND I'm sleeping better.
Anyways, you'll hopefully be reading more from me as time goes on...
