I started one month ago and decided to do an extended induction phase. I was addicted to carbs for years...bread, pasta and pepsi (lots and lots of pepsi). I was hesitant to go with atkins in fear of setting myself up for failure. I have been absolutely amazed at how successful and "easy" this has been for me. I don't even crave any of my old favorite foods, I feel full and satisfied, it's GREAT! I have lost 25 pounds since 4/12/10 and am so encouraged by the weight loss.
Looking forward to hitting my goal weight of 130 very soon, I'm over half way there already. I really see low carb eating being a way of life from now on. I have been reading threads on here for a while and have learned so much...thanks for all of you "pros" who post so much helpful information.

I will likely move on to OWL in the next week. I understand induction phase isn't recommended long term, for good reason.
