      Re: Lovely Jicama

First it must be spelled correctly
      CEVICHE!

2 lbs of firm, fresh fish, snapper, mahi mahi, prawns, squid, clams, anything as long as it is super fresh! cut fish into boneless 1/2 cubes
      1 cup lime juice
      1/2 sweet onion, finely diced
1 cup of fresh peeled, seeded, and chopped tomatoes
1 nice big habanero or scotch bonnet pepper seeded and finely diced
      2 teaspoons of kosher salt
      fresh cracked pepper
      dash of worchestershire
      Cilantro
      Avocado
      low carb tortillas

in a glass bowl with a cover (plasticwrap is fine) place the fish, onion, tomatoes, habanero, salt, pepper, worchestershire .. Cover with lime juice. Let sit covered in the refrigerator for about an hour, then stir well... Let sit for at least 6 hours, giving time for the flavors to meld nicely...

Serve topped with LOTS of freshly chopped cilantro and slices of avocado ...use sliced jicama as crackers...enjoy!!!! yummmmmmmmmmm....

I like to add diced jicama to my tuna, chicken or ham salad for a crunchy little addition. MMmm

I like to cut mine in sticks and sprinkle some splenda and cinnamon on it

I haven't tried oven frying yet, that sounds good.
