      The venison cost nothing; deer are quite plentiful in these parts, and I do my own butchering. The foie was a bit pricey, but worthwhile as an indulgence in small quantities. I'd say the total cost of ingredients for this dinner for two, with generous portions and ample leftovers, was around $20.

        ok now that is really AWESOME see people can eat like royalty and still not spend a fortune ..I am humbled....

        that is why I "hunt" around in all the cities ethnic markets ..prices are so low ..I can buy and use the freshest most interesting ingredients and not distroy the budget...
