I love the sauteed cabbage with steak seasoning! So far it's my favourite. But I'm going to try the wedges in foil once we get the bbq out again. That sounds interesting.
Oh really? I didn't know that. I have a lot of problems with the butter burning.

I do cabbage rolls. Well I used to do cabbage rolls. Ground lamb, long grain rice, salt, pepper, dried mint all mixed together and rolled into softened cabbage leaves. Add canned tomatoes and garlic gloves and bake in the oven. I guess it can be eaten during the proper OWL rung due to the rice. I was going to try it without the rice but never got around to it yet.

I've made cabbage rolls with chopped up cauliflower. Really tiny. It looks kind of like rice. I didn't cook it first. Then it cooked with everything else and it was really nice.

DH taught me the trick about not burning the butter. Just add some oil.

olive oil and butter are a great mix I do that as well!!! I also clarify butter by the pound and that helps keep it from scortching ...it is the solids I believe that cause the burning...although some dishes taste great with browned butter....

I am loving this cabbage thread and all the ideas!! it is a great inexpensive vegetable that is for sure
