    Re: perfect meal let's share

I have no time to get romantic having a PITTY party here, my hubby is away lots I have nobody that will take my kids not even Grandma in 7 yhears my husband and I ahve been alone a total of 2 days Pretty damn pittiful. If for one night I got my wish. I would sit out on the beach on a nice quilted blanket with fresh strawberries, a bottle of sparkling light water sit and sip and watch the sun go down, then I would lay beside him nessled in his arm and just cuddle up with him and realize how wonderful and warm he is. I wuld feel his every single breath in and out and just listen to the sound of him and enjoy his warm body agains mine and his arms wrapped tightly around me.

That would be the Absoulute best it wouldn't be a meal it would just be a momnet alone with the man I absoulutley love more then anything.

when my kids were little I used to take them out for an early and very long hike to a park with an al fresco lunch
anything we had on hand made to look beautiful and put into a backpack and carried a little by everyone ...
that was romantic as well ...my kids still remember it .... Just a thought

Mom used to take us to get KFC and we had dinner at the beach in the summer like twice a year. LOL, not as romantic as your story Heidi

getting sweaty with your old man is only one way of having a perfect meal ...you can have one alone as well ...pack it up and go someplace or go someplace get something wonderful and sit where you will enjoy it most

Food does taste better outdoors. When I was a kid, during summer vacation, mom used to pack for me a fried bologna or ham sandwich, a cookie and an apple or pear---basically the same lunch I would bring for school. I used to throw that into the basket of my bike (anyone remember those 'girl' bikes with the plastic basket attached to the handlebars?), hop on my wheels and go. Usually I had my lunch in the park. For some reason those sandwiches tasted 10 times better than they did in the school lunchroom.

Even now, on nice weekend mornings, I eat my brunch in my backyard. Same food I usually eat, but it tastes better outdoors.

Mmmm outdoors is nice... maybe I could meet halfway and do the tent thing?

Like when you did clams in the tent, Heidi... it was clams, right?
No stats. Not weighing anymore ever. Will post "before and after" pictures when I want to. The end.

              Vigilance, not perfection.

My perfect meal would have to be the lo-carb chicken cacciatore (substituting the wine for a little chicken stock, and the mushrooms for red peppers and zucchini), with a little steamed broccoli - mmmmmmmmmm!

My boyfriend and I had this off our laps yesterday and I was surprised how great it turned out! It was lovely to sit inside all nice and warm while it was pelting it down with rain outside!
I love that you said that about the birds and creatures thank you sooooo much for noticing
