Wow Karen, I'll have to look into one of those. My mother in law gave me a halfway decent mandoline, and now that i know how to use it, it works great. Took me a while, LOL. Anyway, I use it whenever I cut onions because chopping onions kills me! I am still trying to figure out what will take away the burn?

Hold a toothpick between your teeth while you cut them, it forces you to breath thru your mouth and for some reason helps keep your eyes from watering. Yea this little chopper thingy was great for onions, garlic, habeneros and jalepenos! I only did so so on the cilantro cause the leaves kept sticking to the sides and bottoms.

thats an interesting tip about the onions MOG. I was always told that if you put a piece of bread in your mouth whilst cutting your onions that stopped you from crying also.

Now that I dont eat bread, it sort of makes that tip a little pointless.

Every word I use seems to mean something differnet in Britain...ususally something dirty as a matter of fact! Choppers here are either false teeth or motorcycles.
