Don't worry I'm not going near it but I need a low carb "Southern" pie for the neighborhood picnic dessert table and rasin is out regular pecan is too much sugar alcohol to be friendly for all should some newbie out bid a real low carber for it.
anybody made one of these low carbed? does Splenda really work like sugar would in this pecan like pie. it is basically mashed pintos, spices,eggs, pecans, and sugar with coconut optional. then baked in a pie shell. since it is 1 cup real sugar per pie would it be 1 cup Spenda? and does Splenda still make the old powdered Splenda for cooking not that new 1/2 sugar stuff? Can I use liquid Splenda in this?I need to know by Saturday well Friday to get it cooled by Sat AM. The money goes for maintnenance on the trail throught the woods behide the subdivision so they need money making stuff and they picked souther pies this yr for the theme.
