      Oops, sorry Sadie that I missed this until now...yikes!

      Jicama is a root vegetable that some people use in place of apples. It's got a texture like a raw potatoe or turnip...but a very mild, subtly sweet taste. it's really yummy, and I peel it and eat it raw or cut up on salad most of the time.

      Yes, i stuff raw sausage into the squash and then bake it until the squash and the sausage is done.

        Not a better sausage
        I have not been able to get lunch today and I am about starving. Is this a bad thing on this diet, because I have a feeling that until the end of this semester I am gonna have a problem getting my meals. I bring lunch with me sometimes, but assignments come up that I do not expect when I don't. Maybe I just better bring it no matter what, but then again, sometimes I still don't get time to eat.

        I think I love all squash, especially pumpkin. Yellow crookneck steamed or boiled, tehn pureed with butter and sweetener really can't be beat either. I know it has been a while Higgies, but small spaghetti squash with brown seeds.....you were the victim of bad produce...<<<shaking head>>>... LOL Better luck next time! Hope you didn't get sick.
