I know Walmart, or most grocery stores cary a low-carb flour tortilla that is only 7 grams, but I don't know when you would be allowed to eat them. They are usually in the refrigerated section, by cream cheese.

They aren't allowed in extended induction. Since they have flour I would think they are allowed some place at the top of the OWLadder. I don't know about you guys, but I am seeing less and less low-carb products on the shelves. I haven't seen any lowcarb tortillas in a long time.

Yes, it's difficult to get the low carb products now. The "craze" has died down. The whole "sugar-Free" thing is in now...which doesn't mean cr#@ to us or shouldn't to pretty much anyone because they just use junk that's worse for you.

Anyway, back to your original question...if you can...I would substitute low carb whole grain wraps for the tortillas. Again, these wouldn't be allowed until almost the last rung of OWL. Definitely better than white flour tortillas.

            Re: low carb tortillas?

Look at the ingredients of the tortillas. If the ingredients are on the Induction acceptable foods list, then the tortilla might be legal for Induction. Remember, "extending" your Induction simply means you are following the Induction phase (its rules and its food list) beyond the minimum 14 days.

If you look in the 14 Day Induction Forum, there is a sticky thread called "Induction recipe basics". You will find a recipe for an Induction legal wrap.

              Again, not induction legal...

                Re: low carb tortillas?

For induction and extended induction the wraps are a no-no.

However, I've found the Mission Brand low carb tortillas at Walmart. They have two. The "white" one is made with soy flour and the ingrediants make it allowable on the Legumes rung. The other one is a low-carb wheat one, that is allowable on the grains rung and it has a slightly lower carb count than the soy one.

They are both very good. I buy the fajita size ones.

There is a recipe though that you could make a "wrap" out of egg whites. Don't Laugh! LOL it's really pretty good.

                Beat egg whites until stiff
spray a cookie sheet with non-stick spray
spread the egg whites in the pan
                bake until golden

You can shape them anyway you want.

They aren't texture wise like a wrap...they are more like bread, even a little more chewy...but I'm definitely making them this weekend to make a Peanut Butter & jelly sandwich

I really like butter lettuce for a wrap. I realize that's not waht you're looking for, but it's really good. I like grilled chicken with green salsa, avocado rolled up into lettuce wraps.
