I make little bowls instead of taco shells and fill them with grilled shrimp, cilantro, black olives, and avocado. A squirt of lime juice and a dollop of sour cream on top. Mmmmmmmmm heaven....

I just got done eating my tacos! and WOWOWOW were the eggwhites good!! had no taste, and really made a great substitute for a tortilla. I recommend this to everyone! heres a few pics..here is another tip, whip the eggwhites until it is thick to the point where when you flip over the bowl, the whites dont fall out. At the end, the wraps wont be too puffy and flaky after baked. Thank you so much for the eggwhite recipe so excited..

Just as an aside, if you beat the egg whites, like you did, then beat the egg yolks, add vanilla extract and maybe some sweetener to the yolks and carefully fold it into the egg whites, you can cook them like pancakes in a skillet. I do that for breakfast sometimes.

            OMG Joy, thankyou!

wohooooo This was my Egg Salad lunch today lol
and let me tell you, it was yummy. I couldn't even eat it all - only half

I made my pizza with 3 egg whites, a tiny tiny pinch of salt. I folded through a tablespoon of grated cheddar and then cooked it about 3/4 of the way. Then added my tomatoes, olives, some herbs, the rest of my cheese and put it back in to cook.

Next time I might cook it fully and then add the toppings and grill them.
mmmm now that I know it doesn't taste "eggy" I am letting my topping head wander. So delicious.

                Re: low carb tortillas?

I buy low-carb tortillas near the taco "stuff" section of the supermarket or buy all the specialty breads at the deli I go to. The two kinds I buy are 4 or 5 net grams of carbs each.

So far I've made, turkey bacon wraps (bacon, cheese, lettuce)

Tuna Melt wraps, (tuna, mayo, american cheese, lettuce)

Breakfast burrito, (eggs, turkey sausage, peppers, cheese)

The tortillas are good also before making any sandwich, brush with butter and brown in frying pan. You can add your cheese or tuna or whatever if you want warm sandwich/tortilla.

                  Re: low carb tortillas?

Oh I'm so hooked on those fluffy egg whites now (I'm promising myself not to have any tomorrow lol)

I had not2late's pancakes for breakfast - but a savoury version - yummy!!

then I had also later today - drumroll lol - taking not2lates pancake idea I made them without the yolks & they turned out also delicious:
the fluffy beaten egg whites with a dash of vanilla extract, cooked in the frypan like pikelets (tiny pancakes) with butter & then poured over chocolate sauce (which is a tspn of cocoa, splenda, dash of cream & a bigger dash of hot water - all stirred well together)

They turn out so fat & fluffy & yummy with zero carbs yaaayyy!
(of course you have to count whatever you add to them)
I have a smile on my dial today

                    Re: low carb tortillas?

I love the low carb wraps, my favorite being the whole wheat kind. I guess I am lucky, most stores here carry them and both flour and wheat, taco and burrito size. I like the smaller ones best.

I'll make tuna wraps, egg salad wraps, egg burritos, etc.

I've been low-carbing for over 3 years solid now, and most of my carbs are taken in by fruits and veggies...with only the occasional bite of something carb filled, but not often, and I will stop with a bite, just enough to get the taste.
Admitting...on April 2010 I have been eating low carb for almost 7 years and the lowest I got to was 145. These last couple of years though I got lazy, and over the course of time, gained back up to almost 170. I am back on induction, a week into it now on 4/22/10, doing excellent and seeing results. Once again, my weight goal is 140.

I just don't have the heart to change the stats below, except I am NOW 46yrs.
