It reminds me of something....but I can't quite put my finger on it.

I got it at Walmart for about $15 which is very good as far as peppermills go. they also have a similar ball shaped one called a 'pepperball' (go figure lol), i used to have one of them but it broke while i was using it, and all the pepper spilled in my food i was cooking. My aunt had the same happen so i bought this one instead and i love it. You can grind pepper and stir the food at the same time

This is tragic!!! I am so sorry ....but before you go buy one see if you can find a Turkish coffee grinder ...OMG this thing I have (I dont have a pic) is indistructable ..and looks so cool!!!! it is made out of brass and it grinds to perfection!!! you can even grind a bunch and it has this little cup to hold it in there until you are done ...

it does not have that asthetic grinding noise of the regular ones it is kind of smooth and quiet ...looks really pretty on the table ....

maybe I can google it to show you!!!

GRRRRR - Heidie!!! You took the words right outta my head before I could test them for myself!!!

Mom gave me a porcelain coffee grinder for Christmas, with beans & mugs (& cookies ) & it was cracked in the box. But I planned to super-glue it and use it for pepper.
I have a spice grinder (with a crank) and a wooden peppermill but neither has adequate capacity.

I'm sorry to hear about your peppermill - was it with you for a long time? Did it have a name?

I hope that when you are ready and purchase a new one that the two of you have many spicy moments together

                              I adore pepper!
