Love, around here it's about $3 or so a hen. I've only seen frozen ones, so it looks like a frozen softball, maybe a little bigger than that.

hens run about 2 bucks a piece here and they are wonderful I think ..my husband loves them I love them my kids love them and they can not be kept in tight quarters like the chickens are and must be alowed to run around or they do not survive ...that is most likely why they are a bit more ..but 2 bucks a piece compared to steak is cheap to me ..I adore them ....they dont dry out easily either ....

PS I live in the Seattle area cost of living is considered pretty high so I think hens are a good deal actually ... My husband and I share one .. usually
