I have introduced a daily portion of porridge into my diet without any ill effects. (I am three years into Atkins, and I would counsel caution for those less established.) Half a cup of oats a day made with two tablespoons of cream and salt added to the water. I have it with two tablespoons of thick 10% fat Yoghurt (Greek/Turkish Yoghurt). When Blueberries are back in season I will add them.
I am wondering about what other cereal I might enjoy. I don't like rice. Bulgar Wheat? And there are other ethnic dishes - suggestions?
(I haven't had bread or potatoes in three years and intend to keep it that way.)
