Low Carb Gardening

Peas go in tomorrow...a little late for me this year but I could not find any!...very strange!....so I bought some in Canada while there last weekend...my sons got me two fruit trees....one is a 4 way cherry and one is a four way Asian pear...I am so excited but we are really going to have some water restrictions this summer....such a shame ...look where I live and we are struggling with water!!!.... :yikes

I have to buy another strawberry pot, some more containers and more potting soil (good thing I've been doing resistance training, now I can lift those bags!).

Tomatoes, beans and eggplants I plant directly into the ground, but the tender leafy veggies do better in containers for me.

The weather is still wacky here (earlier this week we had snow!). So I'm going to hold off on planting, but I'm getting my supplies ready.

PEAS ARE IN!!!!! whooo hooo... :icondance :icondance :icondance we ae heading into a very dry summer so I am going to have to figure out those self watering bottle things that people do to conserve water.....the EVERGREEN state is dry!!!....
today I am going to plant my cherry tree and Asian Pear..I am not sure if i need to put anything in the soil except a little lime....I am so excited..this is my second favorite "intentional exercise!!!"...gardening is so fun!!!....
I have three ..raised beds and will build three more this year.....I have a strawberry bed ...a greens bed and a garlic bed.. I put peas in them all for the nitrigen and to extend the growing seasons I want a lettuce bed a rhubarb bed and a whatever bed...
I have herbs in all of my gardens and berry bushes all over...babies...gooseberries, lingnon berries currants...blueberries...people have given me all kinds of starts it is amazing...chain plants!!!...but I dump them in this place and they get sucked up and look so tiny!!!..
