  • Avocado question

Once you cut into an avocado do you store it in the refrigerator or keep it out? I've been keeping it out, but I'm curious what others do and why.

    Thanks!

      Re: Avocado question

I dissolve some Vit C in water and sprinkle the cut part with it. Then I cover it with plastic foil and store it in the fridge.

I smear the cut side with olive oil and pop it in the fridge and use it within 24 hours.

            Re: Avocado question

I smear it with lemon juice to stop it discolouring (the cut part) or put cling film on it tight and keep in fridge for a day or two.

Thanks everyone. This is very helpful. I think I might try olive oil and put it in the fridge. My husband doesn't eat avocado so once it's cut...it's all mine. That's ok because I really like them.
