I am planning to use it tonight in a lasagna, instead of pasta. What I need to know is how long do I have to let it set out before cooking it? I read a post that you need to put salt on it and let it set out but I can't find that post...LOL could someone please help me!!

Slice it, salt it (sea salt is preferable but not absolutely necessary), put it in a colander and let it sit for about 30 mins., then rinse with water and pat dry with a kitchen towel or paper towel.
Yum!!
