Re: September Stability Ball Push Up Challenge - Sign up and Reporting Thread

Lisa I can sympathize as I have been working ofr months to get stable enough to do more then one pushup with just my toes on the ball.

they actually make a ball holder looks like a doogie dish you can buy but you get more muscles worked stabilizing the ball. if you can't then you can hang off the end of the couch and use it to hold our ball still for you and support part of your lower body weight.

did my 100 with a few toe ones thrown in as extra.

Okay, so I have to ditch the rubber ball in order to do push ups right now. So, I'm going to take my chances and give you my stats without it until you smack me and tell me no, or I get bored and start rolling around on the ball again.

It just rolls out from under me or I go flying forward... uncordinated at its finest.
      Hey Lisa Girl!!

Alright, I understand about the stress of the ball, but that what makes the pushups so effective. Here's the deal...I won't pull the whip out (Hey! go way whp!!! Not yet!!) ...if you promise to just try the ball every other day. Maybe ease into it and if you don't feel comfy then just hit the floor (not literally!!! ). Pushups are good anyway you do em!!!

      Best Wishes!

              200/2500 done.

2Big-How in the world can you manage using your toes? I would have to use a bowling ball so I had a place to tuck my toes.

I am always amazed that my ball can shoot out from under me no matter how much weight I put on it. Whenever I get the stamina to move the blasted ball towards my shins it becomes a rocket and flies away and I end up hugging the floor.

love the bowling ball analogy. i can picture it in my mind.

i hugged that floor right there beside you, val. twice yesterday.
using the core muscles really gets a work out as you move the ball down. i don't know how anybody does these at their toes either.

25 for me yesterday. Val I'm with you! I've been trying and trying to get further down the ball - and all I do is end up on the floor faster. I'm motivated - but that isn't all it takes obviously! Secrets anyone?

really use those core muscles to help steady yourself. don't just depend on your arms and legs to help steady yourself.
