  • December Treadmill Treckies Challenge/Reporting

    Welcome to the DECEMBER TREADMILL TREKKI CHALLENGE. You can choose what's right for you, either minutes, miles or steps. This challenge can be started any day of the month and not just on the first day. So if you want, start up on the 26th and get a head start on your New Year's Resolution to exercise. I'm starting today.

    How many MINUTES/MILES/or STEPS are you going to challenge yourself to?

    Be sure to work at your own pace and increase as your fitness level improves. I started at 10 slow minutes a day and have worked up as I can.

    You will need to figure your monthly total as your commitment to this treadmill challenge and post it here. Then just subtract your daily amount from the starting number. For example, if you plan to do 12 minutes (miles, or steps) a day, then 12 x 31 = 371 minutes for the month. Day three might look like this: 371/335 to go. Then post here how much you did on that day. example: 12 minutes on treadmill

              Hi Babs & Jimmie, Well I am going to just write the words treadmill challenge in my signature, because I seem to have a block on how to get in on my posts.

              Anyway I am glad to be in this challenge, this time I will tally up my millage at the end of this month.

              Well I am happy to say that I walked another 1.5 miles today. Normally I skip the weekends but I think I'm changing that! I have been envigorated(sp?) by a 2lb. loss this morning. At this point 1/2 lb. would make me feel better. LOL

                pru, you should be able to copy and paste the url that i provided when you go to edit your siggy.

                  Pru, Congratulations on your 2 pound loss! That's fantastic! If you need help with directions on how to put the treadmill guy or anything in your signature, just let me know.

                    hello everyone! Today I walked 1.25 miles.

                    Thanks Jimmie, I did try to copy and paste the URL and it didn't work. No big deal I seem to have more problems now that I have a Mac instead of my old computer. I will eventually catch on.


                    Thanks Babs for your good cheer. I must say this time around I am losing so sloooowly, that I am giving myself an pat on the back for sticking to it, I guess that shows I am older! I have never had so much trouble losing the weight before. Yet I am finding it easier to stick to plan, and I don't feel deprived like I used to. Go figure Your doing great! you lost a nice amount there. congrats! I hope next spring we will all look back and smile at our progress. Love and Pru

                      I did my 40 minutes today.

                      Pru, 1.25 miles is wonderful, I think I'm with you with a lot here. I'm losing very slow, probably due to blood pressure meds and disabilities, but it is coming off, and I saw a picture of myself today, and I look different now--even I think so. I am finding it very easy to stay on plan, loving the food, but I may have to cut back on vegetables. I'll take my measurements again and see. Since I know I am doing everything right, I feel calm now if it comes off slow.

                      Thanks. It's hard for me to see I have lost even 21 pounds since Sept. 21, I think that is good now. I love the fact I am not hungry all the time and know I can live with what I am doing without the hype I normally get when I have dieted in the past. And you're right. Come Spring, we WILL be pleased.

                        Babs,
                        you have a great attitude! I try to keep my outlook possitive, as well, but it is difficult. I think part of me doesn't want to accept my age, or my changing body, as I get older. But the health benefits are great!
