    Lyssie, I don't know what starting time you made for me as my PB benchmark b/c I never gave you a 5k time. Did you put me down for my 4 mile time? Whatever you did, here's new info:

    5k today: 38:20
    Went on to finish the 4 miles, for a total time of 51:00.
    F/37/5'7" ~ Started: 8/1/06.

      I walked/jogged my 3.1 miles today. My time was 38.5 minutes, down from 40 minutes. I'm pretty happy with that.

      On one of the days, I tried running for a bit...what on earth was I thinking??? I obviously have no idea how to run and breathe at the same time! LOL

      I'm hoping to wean myself completely from walking and doing the entire distance with jogging, but that will take awhile. Right now, doing intervals is working well.

      Tomorrow, I'm off to the gym to get my max reps. Hopefully something has improved.

          I increased my weight on Dumbell Flyes (free weight) 12x10, 10x15, 8x20 (I moved up 5 lbs)

                OK, I discovered this morning that I've been bamboozled all this time! The indoor track that I've been using is not 6 laps per mile but 8!!! That means my times are null & void for the 5K.

                I will redo my walk/job time this Saturday. I was too ticked off this morning.

                    Congrats to everyone who's kicking butt and taking names. Please send me whatever superhuman substances you're using, because I need to rack up some points, ASAP.

                            Well, this morning, I was really p!ssed off! LMAO But thankfully, I don't stay mad for long. Not good for ya.

                            I'm trying to guess how much time 6 laps and a smig will add to my time? Another 20 minutes or so?

                                I'm thinking it'll be longer than that. I mostly walk with a few moments of brain-jostling from my unique form of jogging. Maybe if I visualize the carb monster chasing me, I'll learn how to run lickity-split.

                                Here's an update on my weight-lifting:

                                Breast busters (aka: Bench press) - 55 pounds (+5 pounds!)
                                Skullcrushers!! - 35 pounds (no change)
                                Frogger (aka Leg press) - 170 pounds (+10 pounds)
                                Butt Blasters (aka Squats) - 110 pounds (+10 pounds)
                                Atlas tryouts (aka Military press) - 35 pounds (no change)

                                That's a total of 25 pounds worth of improvement. So that makes me a happy camper and makes up for the running.
