        Oh, thank you so much!

It's a bit trying on my emotions because at times I'm barely moving the leg that has so many problems. Just have to keep in mind what the therapist says; if there's pain, I'm going too far with it. For instance, simple knee raises. They may have done 20 or so on the DVD, and I've done maybe 5 on my left leg only because I'm so focused on those very weak muscles and not aggravating the knee joint. It's been pretty painful recently - trying to determine the cause of it.

Darn thing is, because I am gentle on that leg, it feels better when I'm done. So that's a HUGE plus in my book! And I'm not so frustrated afterwards.

HEY! I'm looking forward to the day I can do Tae bo! Man, those videos ROCK! You've got to be dripping in sweat after one of those! LOL!! How much strength have you gotten from that series?! Three days of that would be a DREAM!

HA! There's a major goal for me! To be able to do Tae Bo, even if it's only once a month!! LOL!! Certainly won't be until I shed a load of this poundage!

tmn - you put me to shame! Here you are doing what you can despite all obstacles, and I'm finding excuse after excuse. I've been working like crazy, I have an ear infection, etc. etc. Okay - I promise you guys, tonight, no matter how tired or sick, I'll do SOMETHING in honor of tmn, even if it's just a stretch workout or some peddling on the bike.

Oh, you're sweet! I'm desperate: I have serious playtime to do this summer and need to get stronger. LOL!~

Any idea what the ear infection was from? I get water in my left ear (the left side of my body is in the toilet health-wise!) and get infections easily. So I use one part white vinegar, one part rubbing alcohol (for Swimmer's Ear) to dry it out. My left ear will also build up with fluid that needs draining, causing pressure and pain on it. So I do a long stretch like I'm yawning hard so that little canal opens up and the fluid drains out. Instant relief from the pressure.

Please, if you're sick and are still going to do something, do it lightly and don't put much additional stress on your body!

Not sure if weather is going to cooperate for bike ride so...

Video workout done for the day.

Ran a new video I haven't watched yet. After marching warmup, they switched to upper and lower muscle workouts with weights. I continued with modified marching workout and watched this new video. Going to use it later; there's a lot I can do on it with my hand weights!

Also, used more support to ease pressure on LK. Kind of wish I had a walker for this. Would be helpful right now.

                  Re: April vidiot fools challenge

Thanks, tmn. There's a nasty bug going around at work, so I suspect that the ear pain is from that. Also, despite good intentions, I ended up taking it easy again today. I think that I'm just calling this week a "rest week," since I've been working out pretty intensely since the end of Dec. Body seems to be crying out for a break, so I'm going to listen to it for now.

You aren't kidding about the bug. A friend of mine has been really sick for about two weeks and their daughter now for close to a week; it sounds like he just returned to work a couple days ago. Better to rest and recover first, like you're doing. Will keep you in my prayers!

                          Get a load of this...

I’m looking through a bunch of odd cookbooks I’ve collected over the years, trying to decide which ones to keep and which ones to get rid of. There's one here called “Nutrition Almanac Cookbook” by an organization called Nutrition Search, Inc. It has various meals with the recipes and nutrition breakdown.

Some of these are un-friggin-believable! One breakfast meal is 100 carbs. One lunch menu is 98 carbs. One meal of a casserole, bread, and fruit dessert is 138 carbs!

If you ate those three particular meals, that’s 336 carbs in ONE STINKIN' DAY!!

And the government nannies are wondering why people are so fat and unhealthy??! Good grief!!! It really makes me wonder how frustrated Dr. Atkins was over the years...

                            Video completed.

I MIGHT do another video later today as there are certain reps and a variety of them that are nicely working certain muscles without too much strain on those same muscles.

Finally got my butt in gear, but not a video: 42 minutes, 11 miles, 400+ calories burned in intervals on the bike yesterday.
