    Saturday, 4/7: 8.2 mile run, 713 calories burned.


    Cynthia, I have a Polar M61 heartrate monitor with chest strap that measures calories burned based on my age and weight. IMO, the heartrate monitor is far and away the most reliable gauge of calories burned.

      This morning (4/7) did 10 minute lower body workout and 31 minutes on recumbent bike for 7.1 miles. 433 calories burned.

        Went for a 1 hour hike this morning 4/8 651 calories burned.

        Editing to add that I did 1 hours worth of gardening as well for another 518.

                Walked 35 minutes on treadmill and did 20 minute upper body weights. Total 374 calories today.
