I think I have accomplished a lot this month, but I really did bite off more than I could chew. I should have broken things down into smaller steps. Got tons of weeding done, tore down the old shed, cleared up lots of vines and pine straw and got the pool ready for the summer! Still need to build the new shed (DH), build a deck (DH), till one corner of the yard (DH), and make a play area which I can't do until DH tills the yard, it's really slope-y in that area and we need to level it out.
Well, now that I look at the list, it looks like I"ve done all of my part that I can until DH gets his butt in gear.

Also, I didn't list this as my goal this month, I've gotten our home office decluttered!

Hi everyone. I've just gotten my shower and cleaned up all my paint brushes at this late hour. I'm not finished painting my closet yet, but almost. I've taken some pic to show you some before and then I'll get some after, now if I can figure out how to upload them. Jimmie, I know you have a post about that on here somewhere. I will also include a pic of my entertainment center. We got ours in Ohio, Jimmie. Never got to see any of the Lone Gunmen, but it's weird that it would be in that series. I've had mine for at least 15 years. I keep everything forever and ever.

I am DEAD tired, all that up and down the ladder is a killer on the legs. And, why is it where ever you don't have a newspaper is exactly where the paint will drop? After today, I don't know if I could do another month of this. Wrong time to answer that right now. I have a lot that needs done though. I would've put this off forever if not for this challenge.

Apple, your patio sounds like a place I'd like to relax. I've also seen more and more people decorate their porches or patios with the tiny lights. Why only enjoy them at Christmas?

Sounds like everyone is finishing up with their challenges, so I better get moving.

Glad the challenge has been an incentive to get a dreaded job done Mickkey! Look forward to seeing the pics! And... oh I so know what you mean about paint dripping where the newspaper isn't!

One last push now... and the award'll be yours!

Cynthia... I've got you down for clearing your yard and weeding the flower beds. Sounds to me like you've done that and some! Good for you!
I'm putting you down as "done".

Thanks Sally! I think for June, my goal will be doing the play area for the kids. Can't wait to get started on that!

Ok everyone... June is nearly here so the new challenge thread is up and running. If any of you want to join that one and get some more dreaded tasks out of the way... or re-commit to finishing what you started in May... that'll be just great.

hey I did all of my chores for this month!

will now try to find some for June - have definitely got a HUGE pile of ironing again as daughter came back from uni!!

Hopefully we could do one of these every month - then we could stay very organised! - Have to confess fell of track today - far too many carbs, but..... will definitely be back in line in the morning - it was actually a disaster as what I was eating turned out to have to wrong nutritional value on the pack - they packers had put the values for 100g and for the pack size - when I looked at it later as I was actually amazed at what good carb value it was I found that pack carbs were 13 - but 100g was 55g and the pack weighed 250g aaargh!! and yes I will be contacting the company!! mond you I cant believe that these things actually had about 150 carbs!! oh darn - well cheesed off now.

i got jack into the act today. i made a list of things that were just too much for me and jack got all but one thing done!

he got a clothes rod put in
moved the new door (that will be installed at some later time) to the basement. it was blocking a window.
he got the last of the long shelves put up
got the frig moved back in the proper place (it hasn't been running right and it's been way out of place in the kitchen)

I'm happy to announce I'm finished painting my closet and my attic door! I'm trying to load up some pics, and I hope it works. First one is before, second one after. There are two sides to this closet only I couldn't get both in picture.

Here are some flowers I planted on my back deck I thought you all might like to look at. Flowers always pick me up just to look at them.

UK Girl...Mickkey...Theperfect10... Awesome jobs, all of you! Glad you all got to the finish line! Great pics of the closet Mickkey. You can certainly see the difference: It positively gleams in the second one. Love the flowers too... can almost smell them!

UK Girl... we were going to break after June, for the summer as it's hot and people have holidays etc.... then run another one perhaps in September.

Jimmie... seems like Jack's been busy too. Maybe he should join us in June!

Looking forward to handing out those awards on the last day of the month!

i'm so glad you shared the progress in pics!

i think we should do that next month too.

mickkey, your flowers are beautiful! you've inspired for the june challenge. i just have to get some color on the front porch. i don't have any overhang to speak of so i won't be able to hang anything unless we put a bracket up or use shepherds hooks. but pots will work. i've already been thinking about a trellis.
the entertainment is very much like mine. i see the doors are arranged a bit different but basically the same. we have such good taste.

sal, some of this next month stuff is going to require my slave. i'll see if he'll join us.

Thanks everyone. UK Girl I didn't realize you had your knee operated on. Did you have a replacement? My sister had both knees replaced at the same time a few years ago. I haven't seen her since before that (we live a distance away from each other.) How are you doing with it now? How long ago did you have it done? I know you had to be in a world of pain for some time. My sis is doing really well. She had a long recup period, but she's doing good. She works and keeps a big garden too.
