  • August Stability Ball Exercise Challenge ~ sign up and reporting thread

    Exercises that count in this challenge include, but are NOT limited to:

    lying hamstring curls
    tricep extensions
    reverse crunches
    lying leg press
    push ups
    jackknife
    stretching
    slow swim
    side plank
    seated leg extension
    bridge ball squats
    1 arm rows
    stability ball exericse tapes/dvd's

    Basically, any exercise that you do, using your stability ball will count.

    Please state how many minutes you are committing to in August, in this thread and then during the month try to check in each time you rack up the minutes.

    i managed 275 last month with days to spare and even had a week off because of travel.

    i'll go for 300 for august.

          Ok...well I just got my stability ball last weekend...I did some yoga on it yesterday...didn't knock my teeth out or put an eye out so thats good.

          That baby takes some practice...so since I'll be doing it anyways, this challenge is for me.

          300 minutes for August sounds workable. Sign me up Jimmie

              This morning, I did 20 minutes of stretches, abs, and lower body workout.

                  I bought a stability ball about 3 weeks ago and haven't done much on it except sit at the computer. This will give me a chance to learn how to actually work out with it.

                  I'll pledge 300 minutes.
                  It sounds like a good number.

                          45 minutes today
                          all 4 programs. geez i was so wobbly today during some of the exercises. grace is not my middle name.

                            Ok...did 15 minutes on it yesterday....stretching, push ups, ab work and a little bit of yoga.

                            Its kinda fun so far.

                              Okay I hope this counts. I did 25 minutes of balancing on my ball, or trying to balance. I did the four point balance, the sitting balance and tried the two point balance. It was fun and hard. I was sweating and rolling all over the place. But, by the time I was done I could balance for 5 minutes straight. Tomorrow, I'll try some other exercises.
