Re: *slim In 6 ~ I Hate To Love It!*

    Hi Everybody,

I started SI6 on 08/24 so I'm on week 2 day 4. I did the Start it Up for the first two days, and have been on Rev it Up since.

Thanks Krystle for starting a new thread - I didn't think of that and instead was piggy-backing on Misplaced Southerner's that she started before her wedding.

It's twisted I know, but I'm so glad that others are suffering through this right there with me!

I'm sticking with Rev it Up until this Friday, and then will do my best to up it to the Burn it Up for the last four weeks like the paperwork recommended. But I peeked at that workout on the second DVD and am SCARED!

Thank you LooseShoes for giving me a head's up about this new thread. How's that Power 90 going?

Re: *slim In 6 ~ I Hate To Love It!*

Hey guys, I just ran into this thread but I am totally in! I'm in my fourth week of slim in 6 but I have only been doing it about 4 times a week. Right now I am doing Burn it up, but on some days I do Ramp it up. It'll be good to have a place to post and complain, and by complain I mean b****, about good ol' Debbie Siebers.

I'm gonna keep my countdown the way it us for now but when I hit 36 workouts I'll start over again.

I did Burn it Up yesterday and I actually am making it through the squats part better. The lunges are the part that really tires me out, after that section I notice I am much slower and have a hard time finishing the waist work the second time around. Also the butt crampers, omg. My hamstring is actually cramped during that part but as she says, breath through the pain and keep pushing. I want ot stop, stand up, and throw something at the tv every time she says that! But I don't because I know that if I keep doing it I will see the results that I want.

I'm actually thinking about buying the slim in six series so I can mix it up but I"m not sure which ones are the best ones and which one I should do when. Anyone have any ideas?

But Yoly.... "But remember, if it's burning, it's WORKING!" and "I know it's cramping, but you have to push through it." Bwahahahaha!

I did RIU this morning at 6am. I got through it without LOL Took it a bit slower and as a result.

OMG..IT HURTS. IT HURTS! As the day progresses, I'm freezing up. Trying to keep moving, but by this time tomorrow I know that not only will my body hurt from top to bottom, but I'm sure the roots of my hair will hurt too. LOL

Made it through another night of Rev it Up. After Roly's description of Burn it Up - I'm not looking forward to this Friday when I start that phase!

Re: *slim In 6 ~ I Hate To Love It!*

                  Dare I say it!!!?!??!

I did Burn it up and it was easy!!!! well not super easy but definatly easier. I did it the whole way through and thought, wow, that isn't as hard as I thought it was gonna be. I always have a hard time keeping up with the waist work after the lunges but this time I did most of the front lunges which has always been hard for me AND I kept up with the waist work. I really can't believe it! Just last night i was so winded after doing it I thought I would jump to Ramp it UP for a day or two. I decided that I would try burn it, cause I love the 9 minutes of squats/kick routines, I know I'm crazy. But when I do that part I actually feel my legs shrinking. Anyway, I was gonna switch to Ramp it UP after that part but then I stuck with it.

Woohoo! I even moved my weights up because it seemed easy. I am now using 8 pounds for both biceps and triceps and still working on 6 pounds for back and shoulders, though I think I need to move up there too.

Well I guess I"m gonna stick to Burn it UP for the rest of this and the next. I'll order the slim in 6 series tomorrow and see what that's like. Hey, it's cheaper then a treadmill.

Also have any of you guys worn those little waist and thigh wraps while working out. I never have before but today I went to go to academy and I saw them there. I thought what the heck and put them on. OMG, it actually looks like someone through an entire glass of water on me in certain parts. Like the sweat/water was leaking out under and above the thigh thing and I have lines of water on my pants. It actually looks like I peed my pants, literally!

Anyone know what this wet stuff is. Is it sweat or just water. I usually sweat a ton during Burn it UP but it would be awsome if this makes me sweat more. More sweat with no extra work, hey I'm all for that!

Whew! I did it! didn't die! yeah! much better/easier than I thought or remembered it to be...(not that it's easy) totally forgot about the yoga cool down at the end. That was nice... ya know what? I think I really can do this!!!!! I'm not as crazy as I thought. I felt bad this am when I woke up, but better now. Exersize really helps doesn't it?

Re: *slim In 6 ~ I Hate To Love It!*

Isn't that the truth, hopejoy? The benefits of working out regularly are amazing - for me the biggest one is stress relief. I don't know why I screw myself out of that so often because I really do enjoy pushing myself, challenging myself, and all the benefits (like having one instead of two ).

RIU done for the day. That makes 3/36. I was SO froze up when I got out of bed this morning. I could barely move. I chugged down some water, cowboy'd up and hit it.

I'm not hitting it rep for rep, but I'm coming close - and I'm not being too prideful (which is hard for me) to drop back and march when I know I'm starting to push too hard. My muscle memory is definitely top notch. Half-squats seem so foreign to me, so instead of doing half squats, here's me droppin' it like it's hot ( ) and then wishing for death and sucking wind like mad as a result. I have to really think hard to do the moves in a modified manner. It seems so unnatural to me, and I guess that's a good thing, right?

                        1/12 of the way done.

You guys are all doing so great! I haven't seriously exercised like this in 5+ years, and I gotta tell you, I'm finding this pretty tough! But it does get a bit more "natural" every day I'll admit.

Tomorrow I'm going to have my first day off since I started (I've gone 13 days straight), and then Friday - I'm going to start the Rev it Up.

And Joly - I'm so relieved to read BUI was almost "easy" when you tried it again - I know I'll be howling after the first time, but I look forward to getting over that hump and in that zone where I know what the heck I'm doing again (like I am with Rev it Up!).

Ya'll are doing great! The slim 'n limber really helps to keep the soreness down.

I'm doing my power 90--I'm not sore, just really tired. Hopefully all of this will help with the Muffin Butt and Halloween goals.

Re: *slim In 6 ~ I Hate To Love It!*

Due to a slightly sore right knee, a ton of school work, and sheer exhaustion I decided to take a rest day yesterday. Kind of mad at myself for this because if I would have woken up and done it in the morning as planned then I wouldn't have skipped it, grrrr!

I did do it this morning though, burned it up around 5:30. I took it easy with the lunges though my right knee is still bothering me. During the butt crampers my inner thighs started cramping, something that doesn't usually happen during that move, must be that I'm moving my leg slightly different or something but anything that targets that area is good. Just thougth about it, maybe it's that I've been working out with those sauna slimming belts on my thighs and its keeping the muscle nice and warm which helps me get more work out of it. Hmmm, who knows. THey were soaking wet this morning too though, gross!

I am really tired right now, I feel my body freezing up too, especially my upper back and arms, I really pushed those areas today.

I also got my food cleaned up, FINALLY!!! So I should start seeing the results that I expect out of Slim in 6. We shall see.
