    Well, I want my darned award so I'm sticking with this! Plus I want to be healthier too - almost forgot about that part!

    When it's over, I'm going to take a break though - I really really enjoyed rollerskating and was amazed at how worked out my thighs & butt felt the next day! I think I'll start doing that once a week, and maybe take up bike riding now that my rear end isn't so huge. (I always worry about what everyone seeing me is going to think - my huge rear end going down the road! I know - like strangers would even think twice about it)

    Yoly - thanks for what you wrote. I do need to listen to my body a bit more. Glad to hear that your knees are popping just like mine do - so do some other joints - can't always tell which part the sound is coming from!

      Brook, Well then you're not reaally taking a break at all! that's awesome girl! It's good to have some variety to your routine and good for you! I think that's great! Sometimes exersizing with others is just what we need.
      So, what is the reward? and how do we get it... am I a complete loser for missing a few days last week?

          WOW, i posted that last comment and then went home and RIU because I felt like a loser, was just coming on here to post the good news & your rooting for me! yay!!! go me, go me, go go go me!



          Well....uhhh.....sure! it can be an award! I just like to add new images for all my challenges so that im constantly reminded, lol. but sure it can be an award! everyone can add it - you'll all winners to me!!!!!

          so since i didnt RIU for the past 3 days, , im going to do 3 more days at the end of this to make it up - but now that im back in action IM NOT STOPPING!!!!

            Excellent! I'm so glad you are sticking with it!

            So, to get the award we need to finish 36 workouts, and if it takes a bit longer than 6 weeks that's okay, right?

              Burn it Up finished as of 6:45 this morning! You know what it really sucks to work out in the mornings, I realize that now. You don't get to enjoy that slow waking up, getting your body going with a warm shower, getting dressed routine. Instead I have the alarm ...snooze ... alarm ... snooze, get out of bed, splash cold water on my face, get clothes on, sweat profusely from every oraface of my body routine down. Blah!

              It works though

                I did my first tape in the slim series, Firm it up this morning at 5:40. I have mixed feelings about it, it seemed hard on my legs, which i guess is the point, but it wasn't a fully body workout. I wasn't dripping sweat like I am when I do Burn it UP. The waist work was almost nonexistent too. I did love the fact that she spends a lot of time on moves that work your inner and outer thighs, that rocks. Also I like that she gets into the legs without the lunges, those lunges hurt my knees so bad so i'm glad she eliminated them from the lower body workout tape.

                I'm gonna do Mix it up tomorrow or maybe the upper body/torso workout. That'll be my four days for the week, thank goodness, and I can take Saturday off. I'm feeling the stiffness set into my legs so I need to get moving.

                Goodluck everybody with your workouts today. Remember Slim in 6 really works!

                Ok sorry about that, for a second I forgot that I wasn't a high school cheerleader, lol.

                  We need a cheerleader!

                  I took last night off because I had alot of pain all day yesteray - and I'm certain it's because I pushed through BIU the night before. So, I listened to my body & I'm going to give it a rest for a few days.

                      Sorry you're still not feeling well, Wendy--take care of yourself so you can get back.

                      I hate morning workouts too. My coordination and energy are both bottomed out. I tend to stay up until after midnight to get mine in, but I've always been a night owl.

                      55 days down on Power 90 for me. 35 to go! I'm supposed to measure and weigh on day 60, so I'll see what results I've had.

                      Yoly, let us know more about the Slim Series. I've been thinking about giving myself that for Christmas.

                        I'm a loser girls and not in a good way... I skipped two days again... I will do it in the am... I promise! (last week I did it just before bed and I was awake all night! )
                        Well, I did walk yesterday and today... still getting over being sick... jogged a little tonight... I'm hoping to be 100% soon...

                          Liz you aren't a loser! Even though you've been sick you've found a way to get in exercise every single day! That's great!

                          Hi Kekabeka - welcome to the challenge! Have you done SI6 before? This is my first time and I was surprised in the first few weeks at how much I "shrank" even though the weight didn't move as dramatically. (All that healthy muscle getting built!)

                          Yoly - are you hanging in there? Was the upper body more challenging than the first workout you did in the Slim Series?

                          Caryl - it just hit me that Power 90 means 90 days - I'd assumed it was a 90
                          minute workout. That's a huge committment! I'm so impressed!

                          I took last night off again, and today I do notice a big improvement in my ribs. I still don't have x-ray results but I figure if they were cracked they'd have called me by now, so I'm going to try BIU again tonight.

                          Tonight is the night that I measure myself and I'm NOT looking forward to it - not only have I not been exercising but I have completely fallen off the wagon as far as the WOE and I'm baffled by it. I don't know if maybe getting hurt, or having those low-carb treats last weekend with sugar alcohol in them, or if starting Chantix (to try and give up the nicotine lozenges I'm hooked on!) may be contributing to this or if I'm just really weak. But I've updated my weight ticker from 168 all the way up to 174. And I know all six pounds can't be water!

                          Okay, this isn't the thread for all that - sorry for going off-topic!

                              well, this is the best named thread... I HATE slim n 6... yet on some level... maybe because it works... I love it too and feel so great when it's done... but the whole time I'm looking at the timer counting the minutes til it's done... today I really cranked up the tunes though... it helped!

                                I tried BUI tonight - took it easy & stuck to the moves that don't push in on my ribs. You never realize how much you use a certain spot on your body until you hurt it - like even moving the gear lever on the steering wheel in my car aggravates it!

                                Thanks for the rep Liz! Please tell me you cranked up your own tunes and not that awful soundtrack!

                                I wonder how many of us stare at that countdown clock now that we've memorized her every word? I've even taken to talking back to her & tonight I slipped up and said something REALLY AWFUL to her without even thinking that my five year old was in the room. Oops! (Okay she's heard some pretty choice words before - especially when I'm driving - but I've been trying so hard not to cuss in front of her!)

                                I'm off to read a bedtime story & hit the hay myself. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
