Re: *slim In 6 ~ I Hate To Love It!*

Hello everyone, how's it coming on the slim in 6 challenge, everyone still pushing.

I did mit it up on Friday and then saturday I did half of burn it up but I won't count it towards my final goal. Today instead of Debbie Siebers I decided to get some strait cardio so I ended up working out at the gym for over an hour using the treadmill, eliptical, and bike and stuff.

Anyway, just checking on how everyone's doing so far. I'm planning on using Firm it Up tomorrow, I need my inner thighs to shrink!

I'm on day 58 of Power 90. The scales aren't moving like I want, I hope it's muscle building. I'm going to try to be really strict on everything this coming week. It's been so crazy I've basically been on survival mode, but hopefully things are leveling off. Anyway, I'll quit whining--I am exercising well and I've been pretty good on WOE, but it wouldn't hurt to keep a little better track of what I'm doing.

      Keep it up, everybody!

I took Saturday & Sunday both off - and my ribs are feeling MUCH better. I am seriously looking forward to trying it again tonight!

And I just recorded all my workouts by reviewing the posts on this thread & on the old one I had been using, I've completed 24 out of 36 workouts so far.

I'm so glad to see everyone still on here and pushing.

I did in fact do Firm it UP this morning and I am feeling it! My inner thighs are hurting something fierce but that just means it's working so I'm cool with it. At least I'm getting my times worth out of it. Hey if I'm waking up at 5 in the morning that I better be getting some great muscle toneness.

If I have time later on tonite I plan on doing the slim in 6 pack routine, the new slim series tapes that I have don't really focus as much on abdominals as ramp it up does, maybe they expect that anyone crazy enough to try the next set should already have a six pack or something. Definatly ain't me, lol. That's ok I"m working on it.

I did my Burn it Up tonight. That's 25 out of 36 for me. Still skipping the alternating obliques during crunches and the leg work where you have to be down on your knees.

Yoly, how long is each workout in that series? Does it vary? Are you glad you bought that package? I want to get something to fill in for SI6 when I'm done with this round, because an hour a night six nights a week is really a huge chunk out of too many evenings.

Hi I took Sat & Sun off too, as I worked 10 hr shifts both days. I did walk on Saturday for an hour though...
Super tired today! Went for my walk/run... then came back and did slim n6... super tired... my dvd doesn't exactly sync with the lip/words... it drives me a little wakko... I turn the volume way down and then crank up good tunes! lol... (wendy!) I can't stand that music either! still fighting a virus I think... way more tired than usual!

BIU completed, 26/36 - only 10 more to go !!!!

Liz, I can't figure out that tired thing - it seems like every other day or every third day I just DRAG through it! Doesn't seem to have anything to do with whether I'm sick, or how hard I pushed the night before either!

Tonight I didn't have to worry about the music - my husband set his drums up again in the garage and it was so loud that it drowned out the soundtrack! First time in six years that his drumming didn't drive me nuts!

Just my opinion, but I experienced periods of being extra tired when I did it, too. I think it's part of doing low carb and your body is adjusting to burning fat more efficiently as fuel. Again, I'm not a doctor or an expert on exercise, just my opinion. It seemed like I had more energy and did it better right after the low days, so just keep it up!

so I left it as I was in a hurry and was trying to go somewhere and needed to just get it done!
                        anyways, drama...

Thanks Looseshoes, glad to know we're not the only fatigued ones out there...

Well, I still have 10 to go. I did start the DVD - went about 90 seconds and said screw it and shut it back off. I am SO TIRED tonight. And my ribs don't hurt & I want to sleep good tonight. And I'm so SICK of hearing his darned drums in the garage. Hmmm - wonder if this has anything with TOM arriving? I'm a bit irrational tonight!

Phew I just found the workout of Slim Series that I love. I had been doing several different workouts. I did Firm it up for lower body and mix it up for a lot of upper body moves but I couldn'tfind a total body workout that wasn't over 60 minutes. Well I did this morning. I popped in Tone it Up. You use light weights the entire workout but its very similar to burn it up but you have some extra moves to target your inner and outer thighs better. It has some waist work but not too much. I absolutly love it!

It needs to add some ab stuff and a little more waist work but all in all it is my favorite so far. I bet Shape ti up and Tear it up has all of it but I"m not willing to do an 80 minute workout at 5:30 in the a.m. I don't have enough time.

Ok so workout done for the day, thank goodness. Now I just have to keep my food clean.

I guess I took yesterday off because I was ASLEEP by 7 p.m.! Haven't done that since before I started treatment on my thyroid.

I got my SI6 in tonight though.

Yoly - please tell me if you think buying that new package was worth it? I do NOT want to be exercising for an hour every night after this (let alone 80 minutes! good grief! we have lives people!!). So maybe alternating the shorter tapes on various nights might just be the right fit for me.

Hi, guys! How are you doing?

I just thought I'd brag on the Atkins WOE a little. I post on the beachbody website some to try to stay motivated to keep doing Power 90. Somebody on the site started bad-mouthing Atkins--you know how some people are--"if you don't get enough carbs, you don't have energy to exercise.". I couldn't stay quiet and told them that there are lots of people who exercise, run marathons and do quite well on low carb. They kinda gave me a hard time, so I just ignored it and kept posting my exercise. I hit 60 days and most post their results, so I posted mine. I blew them out of the water on pounds and inches! That's with having not lost a pound in 3 weeks. I have lost inches, though--over 4 inches in my waist in 60 days. The others are always complaining about how they can't stay on the beachbody diet (duh, who can with low fat?). Anyway, I'm enjoying the Atkins WOL and glad I can represent Atkins well to them.

I got tired at times with Slim in 6, but if I just pushed and did it anyway, I would get a burst of energy the next day. It takes a little time for your body to adjust to burning fat instead of carbs, but it WILL do it.

Keep up the good work, ya'll!
