    hey FBG, are you stalking me or am i stalking you????
    welcome to the challenge!
    i think i took 2 weeks to figure out what my first goal would be. it's perfectly fine to take what time you need.

    it was an off day for me although i did some "steps" but i just logged 'em in the mileage challenge. i think i'll have to up my target for the next week.

        Ah ha!!! It was YOU that was kicking me in my Fat Bottom whilst I slept - Telling me there was no time like the present to jump right on in the the challenges - Well.... Thanks!!

        I am setting up my pedometer in a minute so I will start logging my steps (should have done it before I climb the stair 5 time this morning

          let us know how your pedometer works while walking flrights. i could never get mine to be accurate. i think sal had the same problem.

          this is why my goal number is so much smaller than others. i only use my pedometer when i am walking the park trails (not in the cold though) or when i use is for my biking (i found out when i pedal, the steps are accurate for one leg so i double the number)

                2/3 - 3224 steps (this doesn't include my mileage challenge)
                2/4 - 2776 steps - (again I am assuming I don't count the mileage challenge )

                I didn't realize how much we walked on daily basis - kind of gets you upbeat don't it.

                  fbg, you can count 'em or not count 'em, entirely up to you. i've separated things before and it worked out nicely. this time around i'm counting this for that, for everything . i've just got too many irons in the fire to be messing with dividing this from that from those.

                      Hey everyone...is it better to start this on next Sunday or Monday..I figured what the heck I might as well make it 3 challenges...diving right in.I see you all post starting on Sunday..and yes I might just be a stalker from the miles challenge..lol... jimmie told me about it,and since I broadcasted I just bought my first pedometer this past Saturday..that helps. then I put in my stride and off I went...

                        Welcome aboard - I too am new at this so I can't answer your question. Actually you are doing the same thing I am -- why just go for one challenge when you can do more So far I signed up for both water challengs; pedometer; mileage; stability ball (which I just bought and now need to figure out how to use) and one more that I didn't have to stalk Jimmie on - jump rope Houda Thunk!!

                          the challenge week runs from sunday thru saturday. since you are just coming into the challenge, just post your numbers for the days you've been in the challenge.
                          then this coming sunday, you start all over with a new week.

                          charts and stats tell us the 10.000 steps a day is what we should shoot for. i don't get nearly that but i don't wear mine all day long. if i did wear it all day, i might be able to hit that number. you set your goal to whatever and go from there. you might find you need to up the goal number in the following weeks.
