    RANDOM INFO
UPDATES: SURGERY--has been scheduled for the morning of February 18th. All FMLA paperwork has been approved, and my Pre-Operative visit is this morning at 11 AM! I will be lurking around the boards, daily, until I return to work March 14th

BIRTHDAY WORKOUT W/ BILLY BLANKS--aint even almost gonna happen, since they closed the training center last year in August (Will have to try and find something that's equally as exciting)

I'm almost back in the 170's! I'm trying my best to get down to at least 175, before I go in for surgery in 14 days. I figure I may lose about 5lbs of skin and fat (which translates to 17,500 calories), and to come out of recovery status at 170-165 lbs would be true icing on my weight loss cake! (I'm at about 180 right now)

As of February 18th, exercise will be a no-go for at least 4-6 weeks! With that said.. I will continue to to keep track of the Lose with the Losers Challenge, but I will no longer be actively participating in the weigh-ins
I will be living vicariously through you guys--LOL!!!!

    Today's workout:
    1,000 jumping jacks
    1,000 oblique crunches w/ 15lb dumb bells
(while watching this past week's episode of the biggest loser that I dvr'ed) Jumping jacks were done 100 on each commercial break--oblique crunches were done 100 each time the show came back from a commerical break!

I'm sure I will barely be able to move in the morning

That is so exciting! Having looked at your start and current I can see that this surgery will really put all of your hard work into perspective and make you so, so much happier with everything you have accomplished so far!
I am so excited for you!

            Hey! Congrats!!!!! That's awesome.

so I have been MIA and I am sorry about that. I decided that I was depending on the scale a bit too much, so I decided to take a sabatacle. I picked up a size 8 dress that I could almost fit into (the zipper is ALMOST all the way up) and I decided that until it zips up....no scale. So...I am still in, I am just not posting #'s yet, and I apologize. I will be back though, and soon. That dang size 8 is going to bow down to me! and very soon....

An update on something that could put a damper on this for me.

On Friday a VP of my company called my current Director and requested that I be put on his account as an Account Relationship Manager to fix things. Huge compliment however it is going to require weekly travel from Dallas to Chicago. I will be home on the weekends but living out of a suit case for 3 months straight.

I am going to continue to try my best but not sure how this is going to impact me...food will be a little rough since I am not going to be able to prepare a darn thing...we'll see how I do. I am going to try and find a hotel that has a gym and work out in the mornings or evenings depending on what is doable.

I start on the 23rd of this month. I had to go shopping since NONE of my business clothes fit. I was able to purchase misses 16 in all my suits instead of a woman 18. A was hoping for better but it is what it is.

Anyway, good luck to you all and I will continue to post but it will be on the weekend since I will have no scale in my hotel.

Congrats on landing the job Debie! Eating out is not as hard as it may seem. Just make sure you order whatever's grilled, boiled, broiled, or baked...tell them to not even bring bread to the table, and make sure you substitute steamed veggies or salads in for fries and other starchy demons! If you must eat something sweet/dessert--make sure it's sugar free or low carb!

Reporting in today at 191.4... grrrrr.... only a .6lb loss! Well, it's my fault, I had a cheat this week with frozen yogurt and was up to 194 the day after so I guess I had better be happy that I'm down at all, but still... I'm frustrated with myself!
                      Next week goal 2lbs again.

I weighed in at 210.6 today so I am down 1.2lbs. I am again going for 1.5lbs.

                        • Re: Lose with the Losers Challenge

Well... as weight loss goes, I've had a fantastically successful week...

                          BUT...

I've been fighting a cold since Friday - and, interestingly, my weight loss started on Friday. So as you can imagine, I'm concerned that the loss is more related to being sick and not entirely to plan.

I wouldn't be making a big deal out of this if I was reporting in today with yesterday's scale number (215)... but today I weighed in (and I double-checked) at 213 pounds.

So... that's a 5 pound drop from last Tuesday.

I hope to maintain this weight loss, but truth be told my body is probably going to do one of two things - either I'll gain a pound or two once I'm feeling well OR my body will slow down and take stalk of the situation for a while... in other words, plateau.

Then again, maybe I'll be lucky and keep loosing!!
For that reason, I'm setting next week's goal weight at 2 pounds.

Here are my stats so far:

                          226/226/199 – Start, January 6th

                          Week #1 Goal = 4 lbs
                          226/223/199 – Actual Loss = 3 lbs (1 lb short of goal) – 1.33% weight loss

                          Week #2 Goal = 3 lbs
                          223/221/199 – Actual Loss = 2 lbs (1 lb short of goal) – 0.9% weight loss

                          Week #3 Goal = 3 lbs
                          221/220/199 – Actual Loss = 1 lb (2 lbs short of goal) – 0.45% weight loss

                          Week #4 Goal = 2 lbs
                          220/218/199 – Actual Loss = 2 lbs (Goal!) – 0.92% weight loss

                          Week #5 Goal = 3 lbs
                          218/213/199 – Actual Loss = 5 lbs (2 lbs more than Goal!) – 2.35% weight loss

                          Week #6 Goal = 2 lbs
                          213/???/199 – Actual Loss =

I am down to 263. I will keep my goal at 4 lbs.
I am going to have to buy me a new scale. I got on mine this morning and it said 256, 263, 270, and then 284. I think it had a psychotic break. When I got on it the second time, it was at 263.
