      Goal already. Way to go Norman. I am so stiff after that Jillian - no more trouble zones tape; I am not sure why that is . I am used to working out and it was only 3 lbs for the most part. But boy oh boy. I have been hurting for two days. Did some yoga today. I'll try strength again tomorrow

        Yup, muscle confusion. If you change your routine in various ways, you'll know it quick. I started doing lighter weights and isolation exercises. For instance, I did lateral raises today but I went up for 2 seconds, held it for about 2-3 seconds (peak contraction, I guess) the came down for 4 seconds. 4 sets, pyramiding, finished me. Then I did 4 sets of barbell front raises, in the same manner. For triceps pushdowns, I struggled with 65-70 lb for a few reps (5-6, if I recall, but I'm not home tonight so I do not have my training log available, guess I'm still a stray alley cat ) using that manner of lifting. Liv, although I won't, I seriously considered taking an oxycodone tonight before bed. I smart! Big time!
        I presume your talking about Jillian Michaels. She's scarry.

              I had a great workout, one of the best I've had in years. It felt I was conducting a symphony or something. My form was impeccable and I bumped up the weights significantly.

              I was an idiot for the past 3 days. I decided to supplement with raw eggs and whey protein powder. This morning, I honestly thought I was very sick and considered going to the doctor. I had lost muscle size and a rapid amount of weight. I was eating 2 raw eggs and a whey protein shake ( 1 gram carb) every 3-4 hours or so and neglected the Atkins WOE. I felt so out of energy this morning that I thought I would not make it to the afternoon. This morning I ate 4 eggs, soft boiled and 3 pieces of bacon for breakfast. I hadn't eaten veggies hardly at all the past three days.
              Luckily, I packed lunch with me which consisted of one can white albacore, one serving Pillar Rock salmon, whipped up as a salad with 2 tablespoons of mayo, 1 cup spinach leaves, one cup of mixed salad greens tossed in 2 tablespoons olive oil and one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar.
              Within 2 hours I felt great, healthy and full of energy. Suffice to say, returning to the Atkins WOE brought on so much energy and a feeling of well-being I haven't experienced in years.
              Thought I'd share.

              Cheez...Liv is really hard at work here, for someone that lives in Canada...Cafe you' re at the half mark...pretty lady and Stacy are practically neck to neck...great job ladies! We are all in this together regardless of gender....Keep up the good work you future fitness models!.. bet by next summer you all will be making us guys rubber neck when you are strolling casually on the beach!...Ah, well, you probably already do that already...great job ladies!..my hat's off to you all...

                  Okay I am back, I know I signed up for this challenge and I signed up for several others and have got to get moving if I plan to complete them before the end of the month. But I signed up so I would have to push myself, I hate to commit to doing something and then not following through with it so I guess I will be doing quite a bit of working out so that I can complete all of the challenges that I signed up for. So here goes:

                    So I got in an hour today. I figure 60 minutes a day for the rest of the week should catch me up and put a nice finish to the 6WEC. Now I just have to stick to it!

                        Thanks Stacy! I really mean it. Everybody on this board inspires me in very subtle ways that are beyond comprehension. It's like you all are an extended family. My little cousins, sisters, or something. My buddies for sure.
                        I wish there would be more guys involved but maybe it's a macho thing. I'm sure a lot of guys workout on this board but I'm hoping they don't feel it's a sissy thing to 'compete' physically with women. It's not competition, but support we get from each other. That's the important part.
                        There are certain exercises I loathe. I don't like working out legs at all. If it wasn't for these challenges, I'd look like a pigeon or duck. All upper body with these tiny, little legs, strolling around, bobbing right and left.
                        I'm impressed how everybody in these challenges are heading towards their personal goals.

                        Every little inch we lose in the right places and gain also equivalently, just feels incredible. We all share this. That sublime pleasure, sense of well being, self esteem boosting of accomplishing our mini-goals truly is a band-aid for our souls.
                        Most importantly, in my opinion, is the sense of accomplishment when we tame certain impulses that have haunted us through life. We are becoming masters of our bodies and our destinies. We are giving up instant gratification for something that is more powerful almost ethereal in the future.

                        So, once again, thanks Stacy and everybody who posts in this forum. I thank the moderators who give freely of their knowledge and experiences.
                        Everybody is just doing great. I'm glad you all stuck with this and are giving your personal best. We got to make the best out of this, we are here on this planet for a short time. Let's make the most out of it. (I'm convinced there's more than this life, but that reserved for another forum.)
