            Hi Liv,

            Keeping warm?

            I do Tai Chi almost every morning now, or else late at night, I am still a beginner though. But I like the stretching, I have old bones and muscles to warm up so it feels good.

            Today I went to the Yoga class at the club. They only have the "gentle yoga" class once a week. It is a small but adequate club.

                Like the yoga.....Yes, I do, and the instructor, Karen, she is very in tune with our limits on what we can and can't do. But she is a good person and loves what she does, so the class is very rewarding, as you say, it soothes your soul. And every week of course she adds new stuff.

                Class is usually only 5-7 people. A new person joined, she can barely do anything, so Karen modifies moves for her as she sits in a chair, she had both knees replaces recently, and is a pretty big gal. But she tries her best with Karen's help.

                  No that sounds wonder. I went to a gentle yoga class this week. And it was nice. I was shown how to improve my twist - more hands on as it was a smaller class. Sometimes one just need to have someone guide the body parts in the right direction.

                      I'm in the middle of extensive home improvements (painting the entire interior of the house) so LOTS of furniture moving and heavy lifting this week. Figured I was doing enough in the strength department so this week did my balance routines on the Wii, some yoga and the Qi Gong for Weightloss DVD.

                      We are going to get hammered by the East Coast blizzard any minute now so looks like lots of snow removal tomorrow.

                        Hope things goes well Mizski. I think I will try and find that Qi Gong for Weightloss. I am curious.
                        I did yoga yesterday and today and today I did the Jillian CD for 50 mins. I have had my exercise for this week for sure

                          Qi Gong for Weight Loss by Lee Holden is shown on PBS stations fairly often. That's where I first saw it. Being familiar with Tai Chi, I was intrigued. Being so out of shape I started with Qi Gong for Seniors.

                          Qi Gong (as well as Tai Chi) looks so simple and easy and I think many unfamilar with either often think that they are wimpy and "not real exercise." I found them invaluable for improving breathing, stamina, balance and flexibility.

                          Qi Gong for Weight Loss is not available in stores. You can check out the website (which includes short videos). Lee Holden is well known in this field. I highly recommend his DVDs.

                          On another note, we got SLAMMED by the blizzard!! It took me a little over FIVE HOURS to shovel out. I can barely walk and my other muscles are mega sore. I think even my hair hurts!!! Hey, does this count towards my exercise here??

                            Darni - I wanted to rent it. Oh well
                            I would say snow shovelling is strength exercise. Really good combination of strength and cardo actually. Just take it easy. Too many over do it.
                            I've done a couple of yoga classes and I did some heavy duty weights and a few machines today. I feel it in my upper body. Yesterday's yoga was flow and it is very hard
