  • DECEMBER Push Up Challenge

    OKay, here we go again! I know the holidays are tough so really think about a realistic goal for this month and then plunge in to keep those push ups going. They never get easy but the do strengthen and tone your core and pecs so still worth doing and you will look so much better in your Christmas sweater (jumper if you are from the UK) because of it. So with travel and who knows what else I am in for 1200 this month. How about you?

    Well..... I'm still doing them from my knees, and groaning
    so let's up it by 100, and put me down for 400 this month.

              All right! We have a start. For those of you just starting, knees are fine. You can add difficulty by moving your hands closer together and/or doing them from stairs and progressing to lower stairs as you get better. Make sure you are not dipping your head down as you go down and up and try to keeo your butt down and body straight. This is a terrific all round exercise. Push Up handles help a lot if your wrists bother you doing these. They are readily available and inexpensive. Off we go!

                  I'm a knee gal also, but will try to do 1 full pushup every day - hopefully by the end of December it won't be so horrible

                    I'm going to try this month with the pushups. I can't do knee ones because of a prior injury (can't kneel at all now) and currently forget about the full (real) pushups as I have a problem getting on the floor (the problem is really getting back up again). I hope that will change as I get thinner.

                    I've been doing wall pushups but am going to try the stair ones.
