Re: Cool(?) Running for the week of June 26

Well I never got a run in thursday, and yesterday I was running out of time so I did a 2.6 mile run. I tried to run as fast as I could (and keep a pace) and took almost a minute and a half off my best time for that distance. 24:08 for 2.6 miles

no run today or tomorrow, race on monday. I'm going to a pool party tomorrow so I may get some swimming in.

Yes I'm eating a smore in the picture, how do you think I got so fat?

I Jogged Yesterday it was good my ankle felt strong but, I did abs the day before and I had a muscle twing and side stiches so bad I was only able to go 27 minutes but, I did do 2 miles and about 6 minutes faster then normal on my long runs. All this weight I have been losing is surely helping me run faster. I did a 13 minute mile I was pretty darn happy for the last mile WOOHOOO

Re: Cool(?) Running for the week of June 26

          Thanks, Sarah!!

I opted to do the 5k instead of the 10k since I had run 8 miles this morning ... Anyway, I figured 11.1 miles were enough for one day!

I finished the 3.1 in 34:50 .. not bad considering it was 92% humidity, 82 degrees and NO WIND at midnight... 2 drawbridges with very steep inclines too!! 11 minute mile, not too shabby for an old lady like me!

DD was happy .. this was her first run in several months after suffering with ulcerative colitis .. that is now under control (thank God) and she is feeling strong enough to run! YAY!! She was happy to have run the whole race .. and finish strong. Now she's looking forward to more races again!!

Rest day tomorrow .. oops, I mean today, since its already MONDAY! Happy 4th to all!! Celebrate safe and enjoy your independence from being couch potatoes!
