Sarah, I had the same question but you beat me to it! I think sometimes I feel like I should be running more nights because I still can't go more than about 2 miles without pooping out, but I realize that just comes with time. I run one day then rest the next, so some weeks I run 3 times and some 4 (obviously). On my "off" days I weight train a bit and walk. I still haven't gotten my bike fixed, but I'm hoping to do that this weekend!

In other news I did Run 2 of Week 6.2 last night. *g* But I RAN AND RAN. I walked for five minutes, then ran a mile, and because that didn't feel like enough I ran another mile, so instead of running for 25 (which is what week 7 calls for) I ran 30. I don't know why I thought I couldn't do it! Running is such a mental game, you know?

Anyway, it was great. I go out again tomorrow night. Yay!

DID awesome ran my first 12 minute mile so I am stoked and it was my last mile it was actually a tiney bit faster then 12 minutes but not much so I finishe my 3 miles in 40 minutes on the nose. The first mile I was slow second one I ran at 4.5 and 3rd mile I ran at 5.3 MPH. Boy I am sure loving running these days and for some reason in the last 2 weeks it has gotten so much easier it's like my body was ment to do this. I can run my heart out now and I feel great and want to do it every day but, like Betty said we need rest days. I am happy at where I am right now it makes me feel really great about myself. I am sure I have lost wieght positive. But I won't know till the 6th of September marking down the days.

Re: Cool Running for the week of August 7, 2005

Put me down for a new mileage record, 13.5 miles today!! It was hot, no breeze, but we got an early start (before 7 am) which helped. I tried to do the "sunny" part of the trail early and enjoy the shady parts as it began to really heat up. Worked out pretty well. I finished in 2:38, so that was a fairly good time. All right ...REST DAY TOMORROW .. In total, 33.7 miles this week.
